Rice and chicken in a pot

Ingredients

  • 2 cups rice
  • 3 cups boiling water
  • 3 Dorot fried onion cubes
  • 3 cubes Dorot Italian herbs
  • 1 level teaspoon salt
  • A bit of black pepper
  • 300 grams chicken breast/pullet, chopped into small cubes
  • 2 cups frozen/preserved vegetables (peas/carrots/corn or the vegetable of your choice)
  • 2 tablespoonfuls olive oil

Instructions

  1. Heat two table spoons of oil in a pot on medium flame, and add the chicken cubes.
  2. Lightly sauté for about 2 minutes.
  3. Add 2 cups of rice, Dorot fried onion cubes, and Dorot Italian herb mix cubes, and continue to sauté for another minute.
  4. Add the vegetables, boiling water, salt, and pepper.
  5. Cover immediately, lower the flame, and set a timer for 15 minutes.
  6. After exactly 15 minutes, turn off the flame, leave the pot closed for another two minutes, and enjoy!

Tip: Instead of the chicken, you can use ground chicken, ground beef, or tofu.
