Garlic & Herbs Dorot Agricultural Cooperation Ltd. (hereinafter – “Dorot”) is a food-sector cooperative. This Privacy Policy explains how Dorot handles your personal information when you visit our website (hereinafter – the “Site”), take part in any marketing or business activities, reach out to us, or interact with us in any other way – whether through the Site, written correspondence, digital ads, newsletter sign-ups, social media channels, or calls to our customer service or sales teams (hereinafter together – the “Services”). 

Please read this document carefully, ensure that you fully understand its contents, and confirm your full agreement before using the Site and Services or providing any personal information, as defined below. 

Dorot values your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal information in line with Israel’s Privacy Protection Law, 1981. We wish to inform you that you are under no legal obligation to provide us with any personal information or to consent to its processing. Therefore, if you do not agree to all the terms of this Privacy Policy, you must refrain from browsing the Site and/or using the Services and/or from providing and/or allowing the collection of any personal information about you (for example, by ceasing to browse the Site). 

Your use of the Site, including the Services mentioned above, indicates your consent to this Privacy Policy (hereinafter – the “Privacy Policy”). Any visitor to the Site and/or any user of the Services is deemed to have read this Privacy Policy and agreed to its terms. 

Dorot may amend this Privacy Policy from time to time; therefore, you should review it periodically to check for any changes and each time you browse the Site and/or use the Services.

1. What is Personal Information? Personal Information is any data (an item of information) that enables the identification of you or another person through an identifying detail, such as name, ID number, biometric identifier, location data, online identifier, or one or more details relating to the physical, medical, economic, social, or cultural status of the visitor or user of the relevant Services. 

2. In order to provide you with the Services, in whole or in part, Dorot will collect information about users, including, for example:

   1. Personal information received from you if you choose to provide it, such as name, home/office address, email address, telephone numbers (landline or mobile) and fax, ID and/or passport number, date of birth, age and age group, gender, education/employment status, username and password, credit card details;

   2. Voice recordings as part of recorded calls with Dorot’s customer service centers;

   3. Demographic information (such as age, marital status, year of birth) if you choose to provide it;

   4. Consumer habits, behavior, and complaint details.

3. Dorot collects information, including Personal Information, through the following means:

   1. Information you voluntarily provide for the purpose of receiving the Services: this information is provided voluntarily only by visitors to the Site, for example, to register for newsletters; 

   2. Information you voluntarily provide for the purpose of receiving the Services, for example, as part of activities organized by Dorot, and similar; 

   3. Recording of calls with Dorot’s customer service centers;

   4. Information collected passively, including, inter alia, details of your Internet service provider, your Internet Protocol (IP) address, the domain name used to access the Site, characteristics of the device you use, the location of the device used to access the Site, times and methods of use of the Site, your browser type, and other details indicating how you use the Site.

   5. The Site uses “Cookies” — files through which anonymous information is collected for the ongoing operation of the Site, for verifying details, for information security, and to tailor the use of the Site or the Services provided through it to the user’s personal preferences, thus easing browsing and use. Additionally, information collected through cookies may be used to display advertisements or offers for various Dorot products and services or those of related companies. Cookies are text files created when using the Site, assuming your computer or mobile device settings allow this. Some cookies will expire when you close the page or the application running it, while others may be stored on your device’s memory. 6. Dorot may occasionally ask visitors to the Site to answer questions as part of surveys relating to the Site’s content, the Company’s products, or product categories. Dorot will not request personally identifying information, and the information collected will not be linked to any personal information that may have been previously provided by visitors to the Site. Information collected in surveys will be used solely for Dorot’s internal needs but may be shared (in files that do not contain personally identifying details) with third parties;

4. How Does Dorot Use Information? 

   1. Dorot uses personal information to provide the Services and to collect and analyze data regarding product demand, product satisfaction, consumer preferences, and similar purposes

   2. Without derogating from the above, personal details entered on the Site will be used only for the specific purposes explicitly stated at the location where they are provided, after explicit permission is given by the Site user. Dorot will not use personally identifying details for marketing or tracking purposes unless explicit permission has been given by the user.

5. Disclosure of Personal Information to Third Parties. Dorot will use personally identifying details solely for internal purposes and will not share such details with any entity other than Dorot, except in the following cases:

   1. Transferring personal information to service providers who assist in managing the Site, for technical support and Site maintenance purposes. These service providers are required to keep the information confidential to the same standard Dorot applies, to maintain the confidentiality of personal details, and to secure and process personal information according to Dorot’s instructions.

   2. Transferring information to a third party as required by any law or if, at Dorot’s discretion, it is necessary to comply with any law or legal proceeding or to defend against a claim or to protect the rights of Dorot, its customers, or the public.

6. Transferring Personal Information Outside of Israel. Dorot may transfer personal information outside the jurisdiction of Israel. 

7. Data Security, Access, Deletion, and Correction of Data 

   1. Dorot stores the information received as stated in this document on local systems and servers in Israel. 

   2. Dorot will retain the personal information received as stated in this document for as long as Dorot reasonably requires the information, in accordance with Dorot’s needs detailed in this document.

   3. Personal information may be retained in accordance with applicable laws governing record-keeping, transactions, and bookkeeping, and for the purpose of preserving and/or presenting evidence regarding the relationship between Dorot and its customers, including use of Dorot’s Services and products and/or for litigating, including any dispute, claim, demand, lawsuit, and/or legal proceedings between the user and/or anyone on their behalf and Dorot and/or anyone on its behalf and/or any third party. 

   4. Dorot takes industry-standard precautions; however, it cannot fully prevent disruptions on the Site or data leaks. 

   5. Dorot clarifies that it does not undertake that the Site, Dorot’s information systems, and/or the personal information will be completely immune from unauthorized access, disruption, or loss. You acknowledge and agree that Dorot will not bear any responsibility for any damage or loss, direct or indirect, of any kind, caused as a result, including due to a breach of privacy.

   6. If users are asked to provide personal details to access the Site or certain parts of it, the personal details will be protected by a password. Each user can correct, change, and delete their personal details using their user password.

   8. Personal details are kept confidential. Only authorized Dorot employees, service providers, and business partners who have agreed to maintain confidentiality will have access to the information.

8. Spam

   1. Dorot does not use spam, which is the sending of advertisements and marketing material by email to recipients who did not request to receive such emails and without their consent.

   2. You may, at any time, notify your refusal (generally or for a specific type) to receive advertisements and/or direct mail from Dorot or from third parties as stated above, and withdraw your consent by sending a removal request to info@dorot-global.com or by using the “unsubscribe” button that appears at the bottom of the message, or by replying in the same way with the word “remove”. After receiving the request, sending content to the user will stop within a reasonable time, and instructions will be given to stop using the information for direct mail services, but certain information required for Dorot’s needs may continue to be retained in Dorot’s database in accordance with applicable law (including under other provisions of this Privacy Policy).

9. Responsibility

Use of the Site is entirely at the user’s own risk. The user will have no claim or demand against Dorot or anyone on its behalf in connection with the Site, the Services provided through it, or its content. Without derogating from the generality of the above, Dorot will bear no responsibility for user-generated content, including use made of it by third parties. Dorot does not undertake that the Site’s content (including user content) will be complete, correct, legal, accurate, or meet the users’ expectations and/or requirements. Dorot will not bear any responsibility for the Site’s content and/or its use and/or reliance upon it, and calls on users to verify the accuracy and truthfulness of any information published on the Site before making any use of it. For the removal of any doubt, it is clarified that the content on the Site does not constitute a substitute for professional advice and/or treatment where such is needed. Dorot reserves the right to make use of data, details, and/or information for which there is no legal restriction, according to this Privacy Policy and even beyond that, unless prohibited by law, and you will have no claim, demand, or suit against Dorot in this regard.

14. Miscellaneous

If any provision of this document is found to be illegal, void, or unenforceable for any reason, that provision will be deleted from the document and will not affect the legality and validity of the remaining terms and provisions. The terms of use of the Site will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with Israeli law. Jurisdiction will be vested exclusively in the competent court in Tel Aviv.
